Who We Are

About Us

The Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) is one of the region's largest MICE venues and Malaysia's premier trade and exhibition centre, owned by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and is proudly managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

Situated within the expansive 75.5-acre KL Metropolis, MITEC is a key economic hub and gateway to Southeast Asia, nestled in Kuala Lumpur's International Trade and Exhibition District. Distinguished by its grand features, MITEC offers an extensive range of facilities across 52,000 sqm and houses Malaysia's largest pillar-less exhibition hall, providing 12,960 sqm of column-free space on a single level. Complementing this are 11 spacious exhibition halls, equivalent in size to eight football fields combined, along with a ballroom, mini ballroom, multi-purpose hall, meeting rooms, VIP suites, lounges, offices, boardrooms, a café, an outdoor garden, and two amphitheatres. Notably, MITEC's Level 1 exhibition halls feature heavy-duty loading capabilities with a maximum floor loading of 50kN/sqm, enabling the accommodation of heavy machinery—a pioneering feature in the country.

Furthermore, MITEC ensures smooth accessibility and operational efficiency with direct 24-hour service ramp access to all floors and designated loading bays on each level to prevent congestion. The venue boasts centrally located 15m-long escalators, among Malaysia's tallest and longest, equipped with energy-saving features and motion sensors to enhance sustainability initiatives.

Our Story

Iconic Design & Concept

Embodiment of Refined Craftsmanship

The shape of the building is designed to maximise the usage of land. Its building mass is designed to ensure efficiency of space with each room and area being precisely measured in terms of size, location, correlation to its adjacent space, nature of usage and the end users.

Spectacular Dynamic Façade

The dynamic form found in the design mirrors growth. The upward undulating lines of the sun shading device of the front façade, as well as the curved lines of the metal screen features, the main entrance glass canopy and the overall organic fluidity of architectural features of the building articulate none but growth foreseen for the Malaysian trade industry.

Representation of a Rubber Seed

The round shape of the building reflects a rubber seed, symbolising rubber’s industry that leads to the birth of Malaysia as one of the greatest trading nations since 15th century and continues contributing to Malaysia’s economic growth. A seed also represents a promise, encapsulating good things to come, from its building functional usage to its promising future.

Unique Songket Design

The intricate detail of the pattern on the façade is derived from the weave of Songket, the unique Malaysian traditional cloth, portraying the national’s identity. This cutting-edge design also reflects MITEC’S exclusivity, parallel to our core values to redefine your event experience.
