MITEC was certified as a SafeBE Venue following a stringent audit by leading international inspection and certification body Bureau Veritas in early November. The audit process takes into account Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in relation to COVID-19 preparedness and safety measures with regards to facilities, staffing and adherence to the Ministry of Health’s SOPs.

Safety of all patrons is of utmost priority at MITEC. All staff at MITEC are fully vaccinated and undergo a COVID-19 rapid test regularly as a precautionary measure. Each venue is thoroughly disinfected before and after every event. MITEC has in place a comprehensive health and safety guide that governs all aspects of operations. Clients and partners who host an event at MITEC are briefed on the COVID-19 safety policies and standards.

Business events is the key platform for Malaysian businesses to showcase, connect and trade with buyers, vendors and investors in an endeavour to springboard business recovery. MITEC re-opened on 18 October 2021, ready to serve Malaysian businesses and once again invigorate the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry.
