The Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre’s (MITEC) brings 5 kampung flavours to you this Ramadan that promises a showcase of a wide selection of dishes, emphasises on a variety of taste and scent that will titillate your palate after a long day of fasting.

“Bring back the nostalgia of 5 favourites from M.I.T.E.C kampungs namely Sup Tulang Merah from Kampung Melayu Majidee, Johor; Daging Kerutup from Kampung Ira, Pahang; Asam Pedas Ikan from Kampung Tujuh, Melaka; Gulai Kawah Daging Pisang Muda from Kampung Ekor Kucing, Kedah and Ayam Percik from Kampung Chepa, Kelantan when you dine through a gastronomic journey with us,” said Chef Chiew Chee Mun, MITEC’s Executive Chef.

Begin with an appetizing assortment of starters from Gado-gado, Ketupat, Lemang, Nasi Impit, Bergedil, Rojak buah-buahan to aneka jeruk.

Specially prepared for Kerabu fans, we invite guests to indulge in traditional Kerabu Mangga, Kerabu Taugeh, Kerabu Kacang Panjang, Kerabu Daging, Kerabu Soo Hoon Cendawan Hitam and Kerabu Sarea.

Chef Chiew said, for the mains, we feature some of the most delicious and authentic Ramadan dishes such as Signature Kari Kalut, Kambing Golek, Udang Masak Mentega, Siput Sedut Lemak, Rendang Kambing and the all-time favourite Bubur Lambuk.

“In addition to kampung menu, granny’s heritage salads such as daun selom, ulam raja, kacang botol, petai, daun pegaga, jering terung pipit, jantung pisang, pucuk ubi, tenggek burung and daun gajus are also anticipated to be appetising and appealing to guests.

To end, satisfy your sweet tooth with delectable desserts of traditional Malay Kuih, tempting sweet delicacies such as Bread Butter Pudding, Bubur Pulut Hitam, Bubur Gandum, Ais Kacang, Cendol and Serawa Durian,” added Chef Chiew.

Refreshing beverages for you to quench your thirst includes Cordial Punch, Rose Bandung, Asam Boi, Air Teh Bunga and more.

All of MITEC’s seven kitchens including its main kitchen (Malay, Chinese and Western kitchens) are halal certified by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) for guests to dine with complete peace of mind.

The corporate Iftar promotion (for 100 persons and above), will be available daily throughout Ramadan, from RM128 ++ per person. With two customisable menu choices, clients have the option to seven add-on stalls including a Dusun Durian at the Venue’s Oval Garden.

Strategically located within an urban city with stress-free traffic conditions even during peak hours, MITEC’s basement car park caters up to 1,400 vehicles including designated parking spaces for the disabled with lift facility, providing great accessibility to the spacious and comfortable newly carpeted Hall 5 on Level 2.

Apart from the excellent location, MITEC also offers Muslim guests a designated prayer room, telekung (prayer outfit for female), prayer mats, sandals and on-site ablution facility allowing guests to comfortably perform their Maghrib, Isya’ and Tarawih prayers.
