In celebrating this Ramadhan, the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) prepared a remarkable traditional ‘Tastefully Different’ offering that is akin to mother’s home-cooked delicacies that definitely satisfy your taste buds.
Strategically located within an urban city, MITEC gives guests the opportunity to savour mouth-watering tastes from selections of the best traditional dishes at its finest.
MITEC provides up to 1,580 parking lots including designated parking spaces for the disabled with lift facility, providing great accessibility without the need to walk a distance to the spacious and comfortable banquet hall.
Apart from the excellent location, MITEC also offers guests a designated prayer room, prayer mats, sandals and on-site ablution facility for them to perform their Maghrib, Isya’ and Tarawih prayers, allowing guests to comfortably perform their religious duties before breaking fast.
The menu options have been specially customised by MITEC’s culinary team which is very synonymous with breaking fast and suits the taste of local Malay community.
For those who must ‘compulsorily’ break fast with rice, MITEC’s ‘Tastefully Different’ menu highlights the Bukhari Rice, Biryani Rice and white rice with various Chef’s signature dishes such as the bamia mutton, braised beef curry, butter prawns, chilli crab, stir fried ‘kam heong’ clams, fish head curry and much more.
The chef’s signature dishes also showcase dishes from the West such as the spiced roast lamb with oriental rice.
In addition to mother’s home-cooked menu, granny’s heritage salads such as daun selom, ulam raja, kacang botor, petai, daun pegaga, jering terung pipit, jantung pisang, pucuk ubi, tenggek burung and daun gajus are also anticipated to be appetising and appealing to guests.
Not to forget the grilled dishes which are one of the guests’ favourite such as the grill fish with soul enriching sambal and daily stews like chicken soto as well as mamak ox-tail soup which will be available as an additional choice to the menu lineup.
Diners will also have a choice to experience dishes from the ‘Chef Recipe Station’ where all time local delights such as curry mee, Johor Laksa and Penang char kuey teow. Guests can also enjoy chicken and beef satay as well as the staple of all Hari Raya gatherings, including rendang tok, chicken and beef serunding complete with nasi impit, ketupat and lemang.
A Ramadhan feast would not be complete without mouth-watering desserts and local Malay kuih for a sweet indulgence together with various selections of Raya cookies.
The buffet opens daily from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm excluding Saturdays and Sundays starting from 28 May until 8 June. The menu is priced at RM100.00++ per person. Half price for senior citizen aged 60 and above and child aged 7 to 12. Free for child aged 6 and below.
